Play Dough Care Guide
To help you get the most from your okiDOUGHki play dough we have put together our care guide for storing and using your play dough. If stored correctly your play dough should last up to 6 months. We recommend opening your play dough within a month of receiving it. Please keep this in mind if ordering for special occasions. If you want to be super organised we are happy for you to place your order and add a note at checkout and we can hold back sending your order until a week or two before it is needed.
Once you have opened your play dough and enjoyed making your creations put it back in the airtight container it comes in. Ensure the lids are securely fastened so the dough doesn't dry out.
Store your play dough in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving out in direct sunlight or near radiators. Normal household temperatures are fine. Your play dough does not need to be kept in a fridge.
If salt crystals appear in your play dough after time do not panic! This is totally normal. Simply play with your play dough and they will disappear. If your play dough has been left out and goes slightly hard you can add water to it to soften the play dough.
okiDOUGHki play dough does not include any nasty preservatives and is made from food grade ingredients. This does however mean mould spores can develop. To help avoid this wipe down your surface before play and wash hands. If your play dough does develop mould over time we recommend throwing it away.
We have had many of our customers tell us their play dough is still like new after nearly a year of being played with. The scents last well and you should get lots of play out of your little pots of fun! If you have any issues with your play dough please feel free to get in touch.
